Four Eyes

I had to start wearing glasses again. I'm reading so many fiction submissions for a couple of different journals online that my eyes have been revolting against me. It's not a vision thing -- it's a weird muscle fatigue thing. My eyes spasm and won't focus on anything close up or far away.

I had to wear glasses my senior year of high school because I read The Illiad, Moby Dick, Franny and Zooey, and Lord of the Flies in one summer. (Right, Sara or Keri? I'm having trouble remembering.) After I stopped reading so much, my eyes just kind of went back to normal. I'm sure I have a picture of me somewhere with my Lisa Loeb glasses on, but I don't want to go to the effort of find it.

So here are my new Lisa Loeb glasses.

What do you think?

Nah. But seriously. What do you think? (I tried to pose so that there wasn't a glare, but in case you can't tell, they're a kind of red-brown color.) Yay or nay, people? Lexia? You're good at picking out glasses -- what do you think?

P.S. Is that my Mirror Face in that last picture? Damn it.

Yep, those were the books . . . and no, that's not your mirror face. Not by a long shot. :)

It looks like you took those pictures in the early 80s. I mean, obviously, you didn't, but they look old-ish. And you look way tan. I think the glasses look good!

You mentioned the song from Bambi, "If You Can't Say Something Nice" in one of your posts. I am looking for a video of that song. Is it in the original movie? I teach elementary music and did the play with 2nd graders about 10 years ago and can't find the book I used. I know the song was in it, but I would love to have a video of it. Thanks for any help you can give me.
