Yeesh. Was anybody else REALLY disappointed in The Brothers Grimm? What a waste of my time. There's such potential for a good story there. And, c'mon, they got Matt Damon and Heath Ledger to do that movie? I'm pretty convinced that Mr. Ledger takes any part that's presented to him. Proof: The Order, Ned Kelly, and A Knight's Tale. But Mr. Damon?

I'll admit that I was disappointed. Not as disappointed as I was with "The Corpse Bride," but still...

I enjoyed "The Brothers Grimm" to a certain extent, but it definitely wasn't one of Gilliam's best.

oh man... my little brother bought this movie for his wife for christmas, and while we were all sequestered up at my parents place in the mountains, we felt obligated to watch it... man was that a mistake. it tried to do EVERYTHING. freak that movie sucked, and i want the 7 hours of my life it stole, or however long the running time was.

i fell asleep roughly 4 times and it was still going. atrocious.

The only part I liked was up in the tower. Monica Bellucci is the most beautiful woman in the world, and I could watch her in anything. You have to watch "The Apartment" which is the French film that they (evil Hollywood schmaltzpeddlars) turned into "Wicker Park".

was she the same woman that played the lady in white in the second matrix? i could probably look it up on imdb.com but would rather continue the discourse on here.

Heh. I remember when we went to see it, "bilaeva!" We both left with that sort of baffled expression on our faces...

And yes. She played Persephone, consort to the Merovingian.

She's also in a crazy French thriller called the Le Pacte des Loups (Brotherhood of the Wolf) with Samuel Le Bihan - he's the doctor Audrey T is literally nuts about in He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not. You might like that one, Lauren. You need to join up to netflix and then I can send you all my good movie recommendations. We'll start with all my favourite sexy films.

Sounds good to me.

(Who knew that such a crappy movie would warranty so many comments?)
