Ciao and Hei.

Someone in Italy and someone in Norway read (or looked at) my blog today. I'm pretty sure they didn't really read much since the Italian visited for one second and the Norwegian stayed for a whole 37 seconds. But just in case you come back, benevenuto and mottakelse, respectively.

Actually, you most likely can't know how long they stayed on your blog. SiteMeter can only record an amount of time if there's an entrance AND subsequent exit to another page of your blog. So, for example, the Italian guy might've looked at your profile right away. There's a clear exit to another part of your blog, and you can tell that he was on your main page for 1 second. Perhaps he went back to your home page, stayed there for 5 minutes. You'd never know, though, because if he didn't go to another page or archive within your blog, but left the blog completely, SiteMeter has no way of measuring the amount of time he spent on that last page.

That's my understanding of it, anyway. Does it make sense? I'm really into site statistics. I probably check them more times a day than my e-mail. Well . . . not quite. :)

Oh, really? Cool. I didn't know that. Good. Now it doesn't seem so disheartening when I see that someone stayed for 0 seconds. (How is that really possible?)
