And I'll go with you to Alaska. We'll go to Vancouver, city of my birth, and then up to the Great Alaskan Highway and drive along it and maybe the songs on our iPods will perfectly align to the sights and sounds. Is there a time of year when the place isn't plagued with midges? That's when we're going! Whatcha think?
Yeah, I guess maybe I did jump on the Johnny Cash bandwagon. But it was only because I found out I was related to him. So technically, I don't think it's the same bandwagon.
nope, sorry, I've already done Idaho. Drove the entire length of the state on our way from Vancouver to Texax. I was 10 months old, sat in the back of my parents car looking at my fellow babies in the Mothercare catalog. That kept me entertained almost the entire 3-day journey.
I couldn't resist a post to tell you that you forgot one! Seriously, how could you forget Arizona??? Don't you remember stopping at every lookout point on the Grand Canyon? I know we did read a lot of TEEN magazines during that trip (and it was 10 years ago), but you gotta remember seeing the Grand Canyon. :)

I have only been to 35% of the states. Road trip, anyone?
Hey! You haven't visited Oklahoma? How are we friends?!? :)
Here's a suprise - I've been to 25 (49%). I thought I could only do well on countries visited. I am quite pleased.

Sounds like a plan. Let's start in Seattle, though. Next summer?
Summer's a very bad time to visit Alaska, if Sitka-by-the-Sea is any indication.
Also, I thought this article was interesting: http://www.slate.com/id/2147591/?GT1=8483 Makes me glad I got in on the craze back in '93!

Or maybe we should start in Oregon/Idaho so I can cross those off my list, too.

Yeah. You're safe, Lauren. Completely different bandwagon.
And Idaho's not that great anyway. Too dry. Oregon on the other hand...

Hey! You're right! Yes!
I don't know why, but I only think of Phoenix and Tucson when I think Arizona.
But, yeah, I definitely remember every lookout point of the Grand Canyon...
That takes me up to 84%. Awesome.
