In all fairness, I think that was my fault. I put it on the Netflix cue, you just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, looking for anything to distract you from reading Ulysses.
I had always said the same thing...and am totally addicted to Lost now, along with L Word and Project Runway. Don't beat yourself up...we all change at some point.

don't sweat "lost" - you'll lose interest at some point, and it is not nearly as offensive as emo.
